TORONTO - AC Milan will play Greece's Olympiacos at Toronto's BMO Field on July 24 to kick off the Guinness International Champions Cup.
The eight-team pre-season tournament also features Inter Milan, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and AS Roma.
Other host cities for the tournament, which runs through Aug. 2, are Ann Arbor, Mich., Berkley, Calif., Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Washington D.C.
Organizers say the goal is to have Toronto FC take part in the Guinness tournament next year.
The July international friendly makes for a busy soccer week at BMO Field.
There is an Italy-Portugal legends game on July 21. Toronto FC hosts Tottenham in a friendly on July 23 before entertaining MLS champion Sporting Kansas City on July 26 in league play.
