Another dump of snow is expected on the Coquihalla Highway this evening and overnight making travel to and from Lower Mainland a challenge for drivers.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the section of the Coquihalla from Merritt to Hope.

Forecasters say a frontal system moving across the Interior today, Nov. 26, and tonight will turn the rain to snow early this evening and overnight as snow levels drop to about 1,100 metres.

The Coquihalla Summit could get up to 15 centimeters of snow tonight, according to the snowfall warning, reducing visibility at times and creating hazardous driving conditions.

As the system weakens on Monday, the snow will ease.

The highway was the focus of a heavy snowfall warning earlier this week.
