PENTICTON - The Snowbirds are returning to Penticton for a single show in 2019.

The Penticton Peach Festival announced in a press release issued today, Feb. 7, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and The SkyHawks parachute team would be performing on Aug. 7.

The Snowbirds demonstrate the high level of skill, professionalism, teamwork, discipline and dedication inherent in the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces and inspire the pursuit of excellence wherever they go in North America, the release states.

“As we are every time the Canadian Forces Snowbirds confirm their attendance at Peach Festival, our committee is ready and excited to host the world’s best aerobatic squadron,” Snowbirds Committee chair Fred Trainor said in the release.

The Snowbirds team flies into the city on Tuesday, Aug. 6 for a 6 p.m. performance the following day, Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team, the SkyHawks, is Canada’s only military parachute demonstration team, and is performing at Peach Fest for a third consecutive year. They will perform one show, Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 5 p.m. landing in Okanagan Lake Park.
