A special weather statement issued yesterday has become a snowfall warning for the Coquihalla Highway.
Environment Canada issued the warning just before midnight last night, Nov. 23, calling for 15 cms of snow on the highway from Merritt to Hope as a moist frontal system moved into the area. The snow is forecast to end early Friday morning but it's expected to move east. The weather office says visibility could be limited at times with heavy snow.
Environment Canada is reminding drivers mountain weather can change suddenly at high elevations.
