It was an event worth wining about; wine drinking that is.
The Garagiste North Wine Festival in Kelowna held Aug. 19 at Sperling Vineyards was a great success, according to organizers.
“Thank you iNFOnews so much for sponsoring our sold out event. The small producers wine festival brought together over 23 of the Okanagan’s finest small wine producers plus Kelowna’s hottest new Garagiste brewery; Vice & Virture and cidery, Truck 59 who all gathered amongst the vines to pour their wares,” said Jennifer Schell, who organized the event alongside Terry Meyer Stone.
“We were thrilled with the beautiful venue and wonderful crowd of wine lovers that came out to taste and celebrate the industry. RauDZ Regional Table was on site selling delicious gourmet pizza by the slice to fundraise for Team Canada to compete at to the Culinary Olympics in Europe,” said Meyer Stone.
New to the event this year was Sweet Dee’s Flower Truck, and artisan ceramist Kiln 9. Riedel Crystal was another sponsor for the event, providing tasters with a beautiful crystal wine glass to use and take home.
This was the second year iNFOnews was the media sponsor for the festival with representatives on hand to connect with wine, beer and cider lovers, as well as provide a coffee basket give-away, won by Deb Harris of West Kelowna. For more information on the festival visit www.garagistenorth.com.
Deb Harris of West Kelowna was the lucky winner of the iNFOnews coffee basket give away at the Garagiste North Wine Festival.
