Ski resorts in Okanagan, Kamloops getting first snow of the season

Old man winter is starting to show his face at ski resorts near Kamloops and the Okanagan.

Snow is in the forecast and dustings of the white stuff can be seen through some resort webcams.

"First snow, let’s gooooo!" SilverStar Mountain Resort near Vernon posted to Facebook this morning, Oct. 21.

Big White Ski Resort outside of Kelowna is also starting to look more white.

"Mother Nature is listening and the village is glistening! Snow is on the way!" the resort posted to Facebook

Sun Peaks Resort near Kamloops is also welcoming of today's weather.

"Oh, how we missed snow," Sun Peaks posted to Facebook. "It won't be long now, 29 days and counting."

It's a similar scene at Apex Mountain Resort near Penticton.

At Baldy Mountain Resort near Oliver and Osoyoos, snow can be seen falling and dusting the village via webcam.

And Gnorm the Powder Gnome from Revelstoke Mountain Resort is nearly knee-deep in snow, as shown on the resort's webcam
