Six people busted with drugs and weapons in Vernon

A raid on a house in the 3500 block of 24 Avenue in Vernon resulted in six people being arrested.

The raid was conducted at 7 a.m. today, April 26, by members of Vernon North Okanagan RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team.

“The planned operation was conducted in support of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activities,” an RCMP news release says. “A shotgun, Airsoft gun, and a quantity of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamines were seized by police.”

Of the six people arrested, two remained in custody by the time the news release was issued (about 10 a.m.) but they were expected to be released pending further investigation.
