KAMLOOPS - The highly anticipated opening of a Sephora retail store in Kamloops happens this week.

Aberdeen Mall announced earlier this year the makeup giant would be taking the roughly 4,300 square feet of retail space left vacant by Le Chateau in the upper level of the mall.

The grand opening will be Friday morning, Aug. 10.

Aberdeen Mall's general manager Sandra Neufled told iNFOnews.ca in January the store chose Kamloops in part due to the city's population growth.
