Second heist at Penticton Apple Plaza bank kiosk

FILE PHOTO - Penticton RCMP are investigating the second break-in this year at the Apple Plaza Royal Bank kiosk.

PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are investigating another break and enter at the Royal Bank’s drive through kiosk in Penticton.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says police received a report of a break and enter at the Royal Bank kiosk in Apple Plaza on the morning of Nov. 11.

Sometime the previous night, entry was gained to the kiosk and an angle grinder was used to access the vault.

It is not known how much money was taken during the incident, as several bills remained on scene after they were marked by a dye packet explosion, Wrigglesworth says.

Police are reviewing fingerprints and video surveillance.

The heist was the second to occur at the kiosk this year, which was targeted by thieves in August.
