Hockey fans can watch former NHLers take each other on at Penticton’s outdoor hockey rink during the BCHL’s Alumni & Friends Game.
The top names on roster are NHL Hall-of-Famer and former Kamloops Blazer Scott Niedermayer, as well as Brendan Morrison, who played for the Penticton Panthers before he became line mates with Markus Naslund and Todd Bertuzzi on the Vancouver Canucks.
Other former Canucks playing in Penticton will be Garry Valk and Geoff Courtnall. Kyle Turris, who was an Edmonton Oiler last season, will also be part of the game. And Tyler Johnson, the actor who plays Stewart on Letterkenny, is also on the roster.
BCHL alumni who will be taking part include Pat Hodgins, Mike Di Stefano, Wade MacLeod, Mark MacMillan, Mitch MacMillan and Bruce Courtnall.
Current BCHL goalies Carter Richardson from the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and West Kelowna Warrior Justin Katz will be playing in net.
The alumni game is happening next Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2:30 p.m. at the outdoor hockey rink in Penticton.
