A 58-year-old woman from Salmon Arm was killed in a crash on Highway 97A near Enderby in the North Okanagan last night.

RCMP say the collision between the motorcycle and a commercial farm vehicle happened at around 6:20 p.m. yesterday, June 22, on Highway 97A near Springbend Road about six kilometres north of Enderby.

The motorcyclist was riding northbound on the highway when she crossed the centre line and hit the large truck travelling southbound, according to an RCMP release.

She was declared dead at the scene of the crash.

Police are not releasing the woman’s identity.

RCMP say the highway was closed in both directions for approximately three hours.

The crash is under investigation.
