Somebody in Salmon Arm was robbed of their wallet and car keys by a man they were giving a ride to.

The RCMP were notified about the incident shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 25, according to a media release.

The victim, who had met the suspect once before for a short time, was asked for a ride to a local store. A short distance later, the suspect asked the driver to stop the vehicle.

The man then allegedly threatened the driver with a weapon and demanded money.
