SALMON ARM - Salmon Arm RCMP are looking for witnesses and a suspect following a hit and run yesterday.

Staff Sgt. Scott West says in a press release police are looking for a small blue car and its driver following a hit and run at approximately 8 a.m. yesterday, Sept. 24 on 20 Street SE near Okanagan Avenue SE.

A 15-year-old boy suffered minor injuries when he was hit crossing the street at an uncontrolled sidewalk, West says. The driver didn't stop.

RCMP describe the driver of the small, blue car as an older Caucasian man with white hair and possibly a white beard. There may have been an older woman in the passenger seat and the car may have dents in the hood area.

Anyone with information on the hit and run can call the Salmon Arm RCMP at 250-832-6044 or can leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
