A Salmon Arm woman can get the new truck and acreage she always wanted after a $500,000 lottery win.
Serena Bosley won the $500,000 prize after matching all four numbers on her Extra ticket, Sept. 1, according to a BC Lottery Corporation press release.
“I saw all the zeros, turned to my friend and asked her to check it out,” Bosley said in the release. “She said, ‘You need to go to the till!’”

She bought her ticket at Pharmasave in Salmon Arm and texted her husband right after checking in with the clerk.
“He called me right away and was very excited,” she said.
Bosley said she felt both shocked and grateful to win the lottery prize, and she plans to sit behind the wheel of a new truck, put money toward a new acreage and eventually retire early.
