RV show highlights list of weekend things to do in Penticton

FILE PHOTO - The B.C. interior's largest RV show is taking place in Penticton this weekend.

PENTICTON - A sure sign of spring in the South Okanagan happens this weekend when the largest RV show in the B.C. interior comes to town.

The Interior RV Show runs today, April 5, through to Sunday, April 7 at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton.

Organizers say the show includes nine acres of RVs of which 80,000 square feet of which are indoors. You can tour the industry brand names, talk to factory representatives and take part in seminars happening throughout the weekend. Admission is $5 for a weekend pass at the door. The Penticton Kiwanis Music Festival continues this weekend with musical theatre performances at the United Church today and tomorrow. See the Kiwanis Music Festival website here for more information.

Glory Days returns to the Penticton Eagles Club for another Friday night of live music, dancing to the hits of Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, the Eagles, CCR and Alan Jackson. There’s no cover charge for the event that runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Three Ways to Save the Climate comes to Burrowing Owl Winery on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This free event provides information to those with an interest in going solar, driving an electric vehicle or cutting heating bills through solar technology. Industry experts and the latest in electric and solar technology products will be on hand as well. For more information, go to the Burrowing Owl Winery website here.

The B.C. Wine Experience Centre is hosting two wine pairing events on Saturday and Sunday. The Wine+Chocolate=Happiness event starts at 3 p.m. at the centre at 21 Lakeshore Drive West at a cost of $25. The Wine and Cheese “The Perfect Pairing” event runs from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the centre with a cost of $25.
