A high angle rope team rescued an injured motorist off the Gillard Creek Forest Service Road last night, Aug. 5.
The Kelowna Fire Department was called at about 7:10 p.m. with a report of a vehicle that had plunged about 20 feet down an embankment.
A rope rescue system lowered three fire department members down the hill where they were able to secure the patient who was lifted up the hill and taken away by ambulance.
There is no mention in the Kelowna Fire Department news release about the condition of the patient.
