PENTICTON - Two people are in hospital in serious condition following a rollover on Highway 97 south of Penticton last night.

Fire chief Darlene Bailey says volunteers from the Kaleden Fire Department responded to a report of a single vehicle crash at around 7:27 p.m., April 16.

Bailey says it is believed the vehicle was travelling southbound on Highway 97 when it lost control near the junction of Highway 3A, crossing the centreline and entering the ditch on the northbound side.

The vehicle rolled several times before clipping a tree and coming to rest on its roof.

She says two occupants in the vehicle were transported to hospital with serious injuries. There is no word on their current condition.

Road conditions were good and visibility clear at the time of the incident, Bailey says.
