VERNON - The driver of a car that rolled on Highway 97 near Vernon Friday afternoon walked away from the crash.
Emergency crews were called to at two-car crash at around 4 p.m., Feb. 12, in the southbound lanes of Highway 97 south of Vernon near Kalamalka Lakeview Drive.
RCMP say the driver of a southbound car lost control and rolled into the righthand ditch, bounced back onto the road and came to rest. Another southbound car bumped into the first vehicle.
A 40-year-old man behind the wheel of the first car, and the only one in the vehicle, was taken to hospital with minor injuries, according to a RCMP media release.
The driver of the second car wasn’t hurt.
The highway was down to a single lane southbound for about an hour and a half until the crash was cleared and the route reopened.
RCMP say no charges will be laid in connection with the crash.
