UPDATE: Rockslide on Highway 1 cleared west of Sicamous

A rockslide that happened along Highway 1 this afternoon has been cleared.

Drive BC reported the incident, located between Bernie Road and Old Sicamous Road, five kilometres west of Sicamous, at 12:25 p.m. in the eastbound lane.

The highway was reduced to single-lane alternating traffic but Drive BC is reporting the lane has been cleared.

- This story was updated at 4:30 p.m. with information regarding the lane's reopening.
