A rock slide has closed part of the Crowsnest Highway outside Keremeos.
Highway 3 is closed in both directions between Ashnola Road and 10 Avenue, roughly three kilometres west of Keremeos, according to DriveBC.
The highway will be closed until at least tomorrow morning, Jan. 17, as a geotechnical assessment is conducted.
A detour is in effect via Highway 5A to Highway 97C or Highway 3A to Highway 97 for heavy vehicles. DriveBC says light vehicles can detour via River Road.
DriveBC reminds drivers to follow detour signs and obey traffic control personnel.
