PENTICTON - With several days of races this week for Challenge Penticton, the city is advising residents of road closures.

The closures mainly affect Eastside Road and downtown Penticton today, Aug. 24, throught to Sunday, Aug. 28.

Sunday's main triathlon race will see controlled access on Government Street and South Main Street.

This year’s Challenge Penticton races will also utilize the channel trail, which will remain open. Residents are respectfully asked to keep pets on a leash between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., however.

You can have a look at a map of the street closures and get further information on the City of Penticton's website.

The Penticton Transit system is also affected by the five day racing event, with detours and changes to the daily transit system.

For more information see the Penticton transit web page.

Challenge Penticton has also posted a list and schedule of closures.
