While there’s a relatively low 30% risk of showers in Kamloops and the Okanagan today, May 30, that could come with heavy rain at times, wind and thunderstorms.

The Environment Canada forecast says there could be hail with the thunderstorms in the Okanagan with winds from the northwest gusting to 40 km/h early this afternoon. The stormy weather is more likely further south in the valley with Penticton showing a 60% chance of rain, thunder and hail today.

The Kamloops winds are expected to come from the east and be lighter, only up to 20 km/h.

On Wednesday, June is forecast to kick off with a mix of sun and cloud and highs of 27 in Kamloops, 26 in the Okanagan before clouding over again on Thursday.
