Ringing bells fills shelves

VERNON - iNFOnews.ca was out ringing bells at London Drugs in Vernon for the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign in an effort to raise funds for the House of Hope this week.

These donations help run the House of Hope all throughout the year by providing food, clothing and shelter for those in need.

There are a few days left this week to sign up for a two-hour indoor shift of bell ringing. In those two hours about $150 is raised, so the Salvation Army is counting on everyone to lend a hand in all our Thompson-Okanagan communities.

The Salvation Army Food Bank in Vernon is a member of Food Banks British Columbia (FBBC) and an affiliated member of the Canadian Association of Food Banks. They are the only authorized Food Bank in Vernon.
