Head-on crash kills one, hurts four near Roger Pass closes Highway 1

REVELSTOKE, B.C. - One person is dead and four others are injured after a two vehicle crash along Highway 1 near the Rogers Pass.
Revelstoke RCMP Sgt. Kim Hall says the head-on crash happened about 10 this morning in slushy conditions.
Hall says it's also snowing heavily now in the area.
She says the crash involved a truck and a car.
The highway remains closed four kilometres east of the Rogers Pass Summit and isn't expected to open until at least 4 p.m. (CHNL)
