PENTICTON - The Reel Peach Film Festival returns for its third season to the Penticton Peach Festival.

The film festival runs Aug. 9 to 13, prior to the 9:30 p.m. staging of the main act's evening performances at Okanagan Lake Park’s main stage.

Film makers are invited to submit a one to three minute short film in one of two categories:

  • Liquid Libations - a short film concerning an Okanagan wine, craft beer distillery, cider or soft drink /  juice manufacturer
  • Okanagan Experience - a film showcasing an Okanagan experience

Four prize categories will be awarded, including first prize, consisting of a $1,000 and a weekend getaway at the Penticton Lakeside Resort, second and third prizes of $500 and $250 respectively, and a $250 fan’s choice prize.

The festival is open to both amateur and professional film makers.

"There is a very vibrant and active arts community in our region so we hope to engage more submissions that are creatively artsy, funny, and less traditional or corporate than we've seen in the past. I'm excited about this year's opportunity build community pride and be entertained.” Reel Peach Fest Producer Andrew Jakubeit said.

Entry deadline for the festival is Aug.6. More information can be found at the Reel Peachfest website.
