The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit has taken the lead on the investigation into the death of a woman whose body was found in a Kelowna dog park Sunday.
“Investigators are working to identify the woman,” states an email from Cpl. Tammy Lobb, the media relations officer for Kelowna RCMP.

No details about the woman are being released to “protect the integrity of the investigation,” Lobb wrote, but police are looking for help from the public.
“We are aware that many people use the dog park and they begin arriving early in the morning,” Lobb wrote. “The investigators are looking to speak with anyone who attended the dog park before 8:45 a.m. Whether or not they saw anything, we want to hear from them.”
A tip line has been set up at 250-470-6236.
The dog park is on North Glenmore Road opposite the Glenmore Landfill.
