RCMP investigating 'suspicious' death after body found at Kelowna dog park

A woman's body was found at the North Glenmore Dog Park, Jan. 16, 2022, in Kelowna.

The Kelowna RCMP is investigating after a woman's body was found in a dog park this morning.

RCMP vehicles were seen at the North Glenmore Dog Park, Jan. 16 and the park's entrance was taped off.

The Kelowna RCMP reported they found the body of a woman just before 8:45 a.m. this morning. The death has been deemed suspicious, according to the RCMP's press release.

"Investigators have cordoned off the area and will be on scene for an undetermined period of time while they collect evidence and speak to witnesses. As the investigation is in its early stages, further information may be release once it becomes available," according to the RCMP.

The Kelowna RCMP is asking anyone who witnessed or has knowledge of this incident to come forward and speak with police immediately at 250-762-3300.
