ARMSTRONG - RCMP are asking for the public's help to identify a man who held up an Armstrong liquor store with a sawed-off shotgun last night.
An RCMP media release states the robbery took place at the Ranch Liquor store at 2570 Pleasant Valley Rd. in Armstrong yesterday, Jan. 31.
A man entered the liquor store shortly before 10 p.m. with what appeared to be a sawed-off shotgun, police say. The man demanded the employee hand over the cash drawer and cigarettes, and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. RCMP did extensive patrols of the area but the suspect was not found.
The suspect is described as male, 6'2" to 6'3" tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a dark blue or black jacket, a black bandana, sunglasses and black pants.
