RCMP are seeking information about a truck it believes is related to two suspicious deaths in Penticton back in 2022.

Alannah Brown and her boyfriend Douglas Barker, both 30, were found dead near the Kickininee Provincial Park pull-out on Sept. 15, 2022, according to an RCMP press release issued, Oct. 25.

Brown and Barker were found in a burned out car by Summerland firefighters called to a vehicle fire near the Penticton Shooting Range.

Police said the deaths were suspicious, but have not said whether or not it is a homicide investigation.

Both victims were last seen alive the day before on Sept. 14, 2022. A few days after their bodies were found, a car was discovered burning near Oliver, but police did not say whether or not it was related to the suspicious deaths.

Now the RCMP are asking for the public’s help to identify anyone associated with a grey Ram 2500 pickup truck that was captured in CCTV footage. Police think the truck could be linked with the deaths of Brown and Barker.

"We’re urging anyone who may have seen this truck or has information about it to come forward," BC RCMP Major Crime Unit Supt. Sanjay Wijayakoon said in the release. "This vehicle is of great interest to our investigation, and any detail, no matter how small, could prove invaluable."

A friend of the Brown’s Delores Stubbington previously told iNFOnews.ca the couple struggled with addiction and had been together for a few months before they were found dead two years ago.

"Alannah was a shining star and will be truly missed by so many, and she 100 per cent did not deserve what happened to her," Stubbington said at the time. "She loved to sing. Lana Del Rey was her favourite. She was always hugging her friends and singing to them, even if she didn’t sound too great."

Anyone with information about the grey pickup truck is asked to contact RCMP Major Crimes Unit at 1-877-987-8477.
