Police are looking for the public’s help to find a woman armed with a knife who was screaming and running at people in downtown Kamloops early yesterday morning.

Officers were called at around 12:40 a.m. yesterday, Aug. 22, to the intersection of Victoria Street and 3 Avenue to a report of a woman with a knife, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP said she was yelling and running at people, but by the time officers arrived on the scene she was gone.

Police describe the suspect as a Caucasian woman in her late 30s, with grey-blond hair. She was wearing a blue jersey.

Anyone who witnessed, has video, or information related to this incident is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP and reference file 2022-29418.
