KAMLOOPS - Kamloops RCMP are investigating a report of threats involving Royal Inland Hospital, though Mounties haven't disclosed the nature of the alleged threats.
Police first learned of the incident December 10, just before 11 a.m. according to a media release. They say threats were made through a third party who told police.
As a precaution, officers went to RIH to discuss the matter with security staff and to patrol the area. They then located the 76-year-old man who allegedly uttered the threats, in his home.
"The matter remains under investigation as to whether there will be any charges againt the 76-year-old male," RCMP spokesperson Cheryl Bush says.
RCMP aren't saying if the suspect was arrested.
