Kamloops RCMP are still looking for a man who kicked a 14-year-old in the head at McArthur Island skate park last month.

Investigators have issued another photo of the suspect in an attempt to spur tips from the public, according to an RCMP news release.

“Police are hopeful that by releasing the additional, clearer image obtained following the initial appeal, officers will be able to gather more information to help them secure a suspect ID and further the investigation,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

The man intervened in a fight between two youths at the skate park on April 4. Police were called just before 6 p.m.

A video of the incident showed him approach the two youths while they were on the ground and kick one in the head before splitting them up. From out of frame, he called on the youths to stop before intervening.

He's described as a roughly 35-year-old Caucasian man with a reddish beard. He was wearing black pants, dark running shoes, a black hat and orange hoodie at the time.
