KAMLOOPS - RCMP are responding to a "dynamic" unfolding situation throughout the city.
Kamloops RCMP spokeperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says officers are at numerous locations throughout the city this morning, Feb. 14, but can't say where specifically.
"It is not believed that there is any risk to the public," Shelkie says.
A mother of three who was dropping her six-year-old daughter off at Dallas Elementary School says she was stopped by police earlier this morning.
"I was just driving my daughter to school this morning and the roads were blocked off and the police had asked me to roll down my windows and checked my vehicle," says Kirstian Fix.
Fix lives on Mountainview Drive and wasn't able to get back home.
"They are not letting me back through, they didn't tell me anything," she says.
RCMP say more information will be released as it becomes available.
