Human remains were found scattered around a rural area west of Kamloops and RCMP say the person's death was suspicious.
Tk’emplus RCMP were made aware of some human remains found on a rural property in the Pendleton Creek area near Greenstone Road on April 11, according to an RCMP media release issued today, April 28.
Police said the death is suspicious.
Southeast DistrictMajor Crime Unit investigators and Forensic Identification Services members found remains scattered around the property but police aren’t sure where they came from.
“The investigation is in its infancy and police are looking for anyone who might have information about how this person died or how they came to be there,” Staff Sgt. Jason Smart said in the release.
“Work continues in an effort to determine the identity of the deceased, as well as the circumstances of their death.”
