RCMP identify deceased in hopes of advancing Penticton suspicious death investigation

The RCMP is reaching out to the public for tips about the suspicious death of 21-year old Clayton Robert Dyer from Penticton.

Police are looking for information about a suspicious death near Penticton yesterday.

Penticton RCMP were called to a report of a deceased man found lying on the side of Green Mountain Road on the Penticton Indian Band reserve at around 4:48 p.m. yesterday, Oct. 13, according to an RCMP media release.

“We have now confirmed the victim is 21-year old Clayton Robert Dyer of Penticton. We are releasing a photo and Mr. Dyer’s identity in the hopes it will advance our investigation,” B.C. RCMP spokesperson Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said in the release.

“We are asking anyone who might have had contact with Dyer or have any information regarding his whereabouts since Saturday, Oct. 9 to contact us.”

To get in touch with police about the investigation call the Southeast District Major Crime Section at 1-877-987-8477.
