VERNON - Four people are in custody for drug-related crimes following two coordinated arrests which took place at opposite ends of Vernon yesterday, Oct. 9.
According to a Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media release, police first arrested a male and a female in a vehicle at Long Acre Drive at around 3 p.m. Oct. 9, seizing drugs and money.
Immediately afterwards RCMP officers raided a property at 4000 block of Old Kamloops Road and arrested another male and a female. Police searched the property and discovered drugs.
The arrests were a joint collaboration between Vernon RCMP and the South East District Emergency Response team.
The four arrested remain in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
