Rain or wet flurries followed by sunny weekend in Okanagan

A couple of unsettled days are in store for the Okanagan, but Saturday and Sunday are expected to be sunny.

OKANAGAN - A couple of unsettled days will be followed by a sunny weekend, but unsettled conditions could return in time for the work week in the Okanagan.

Flurries and rain showers in the valley will end this morning, Nov. 22, followed by a mix of sun and cloud this afternoon and a high of 4 Celsius. Environment Canada forecasts a 60 per cent chance of rain or flurries this evening along with a 60 per cent chance of wet flurries near midnight with a low of 1 C.

Tomorrow is expected to be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers or flurries in the morning and a high of 4 C. Overnight expect cloudy periods along with a low of 0 C.

For those with travel plans to the Lower Mainland, be aware a winter storm warning has been issued for the Coquihalla Highway with up to 30 centimetres of snow expected.

Saturday and Sunday should be sunny with a high of 1 C on both days and lows of -5 C on Saturday and -2 C on Sunday.

Clouds are expected to return Monday with periods of rain or snow and a high of 3 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of 1 C and lows of -4 C.
