Rain and cooler weather in the forecast for the Okanagan this weekend

OKANAGAN - This weekend may finally offer people a break from the hot and dry weather because lower temperatures and rain are in the forecast.
On Saturday night, Environment Canada predicts there a 70 per cent chance of showers and temperatures are likely to fall below 20 Celsius. Rain and showers are anticipated to continue on Sunday until the evening.
Until Saturday night, however, temperatures are predicted to remain hot and dry.
Today, Aug. 10, is expected to be mainly sunny with widespread smoke. It is likely that there will be wind this afternoon. Highs across the Okanagan are anticipated to be around 30 C. The UV index is 7 or high. In the evening, widespread smoke is expected to continue.
Friday's forecast is likely to be sunny with highs in the low 30s. Environment Canada is predicting local smoke to continue.
Changes begin on Saturday with a mix of sun and clouds across the Okanagan. Highs are expected to be 28 C. In the evening showers are predicted along with a low of 16 C.
On Sunday there should be rain which is likely to continue into the evening. A mix of sun and cloud are predicted to continue into next week with a 30 per cent chance of showers Monday night.
