TORONTO - Filly Irish Mission took the lead down the stretch to claim the $500,000 Breeders' Stakes.
Jockey Alex Solis guided Irish Mission to victory in two minutes 30.90 seconds in the 1 1/2-mile turf event, the third jewel of Canadian racing's Triple Crown at Woodbine Racetrack.
Aldous Snow was second while Quaesitor took third in the 14-horse field.
Queen's Plate winner Strait of Dover, which had skipped last month's Prince of Wales Stakes and was pointing towards the Breeders', didn't run after sustaining a season-ending leg injury preparing for the race.
