Public invited to information session with Penticton's Arena Task Force

Penticton's Arena Task Force is holding a special information session with Penticton City Council this afternoon, July 12, 2017, in council chambers. The public is invited to attend and participate.

PENTICTON - A special information session is planned for as the Arena Task Force presents its findings to Penticton city council today.

The public is also encouraged to attend the session, scheduled for council chambers between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m today, July 12.

Staff and Task Force representatives will present the study findings and then answer questions from council and the public.

The meeting will be streamed live through the City’s live video streaming site.

Members of the Arena Task Force will also be at the Penticton Community Market on July 15 and July 22 seeking input from the public before passing on their recommendations to council at a special meeting July 25.

“We are very grateful for the work of the Task Force and their efforts to engage the community in the development of a recommendation,” Mayor Andrew Jakubeit says. “I hope everyone will take advantage of the opportunities they are providing.”
