Police want to know who is stealing letters from Lake Country sign

Police say the metal letters from The Lakes welcome sign have been stolen repeatedly.

LAKE COUNTRY – Someone keeps stealing the metal letters off The Lakes subdivision sign and RCMP are hoping the public can help make it stop.

The welcome sign is located at the intersection of Oceola Road and Lake Hill Drive.

A media release from Crime Stoppers says this theft has happened several times. The most recent was March 17 between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m.

“This is an ongoing occurrence and police would like to identify the culprits,” the release says.

If you know anything about this crime, or any other crime, call the Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tips line at 1-800-222-TIPS or visit their website. Your information will be kept confidential and could lead to a reward of up to $2,000.00.
