Penticton RCMP are hoping the public can help them apprehend a bicycle thief.

Police say a man broke into a garage at a home on Killarney Street sometime overnight on July 17.

The man is believed to have stolen three bicycles with a total value of more than $20,000, according to an RCMP media release issued today, Aug. 5.

The bicycles taken included an Evil Wreckoning, Trek Slash 9.8 and a 2012 Pivot Firebird.

RCMP have obtained video surveillance of the suspect and are reaching out to the public in an effort to help identify him.

“Should anyone have information about this theft and in particular the identity of the suspect captured on surveillance, they are encouraged to contact the Penticton RMCP at 250-492-4300,” Penticton RCMP spokesperson Const. James Grandy said the release.
