Kamloops RCMP are hoping to find the thieves who stole 30 laptops from a North Shore classroom last week.

Thieves pried their way into a portable classroom in the 900-block of Holt Street and stole the students' laptops inside, Jan. 3, around 1:35 a.m.

The Chromebooks are valued at thousands of dollars, according to an RCMP in a press release.

“Whoever is responsible for this crime literally stole from children,” said Const. Crystal Evelyn, the Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

“If you know someone who suddenly came into possession of a Chromebook, or is selling them second hand, please contact police so we can investigate further and hopefully return some of these learning tools back to the kids who need them.”

Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2022-431.
