Police say Westwold incident posed no threat to public safety

FILE PHOTO

WESTWOLD - Police responded to an incident in the rural community of Westwold earlier this month, but say the public has nothing to worry about.

RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says officers investigated a file out of Westwold on Jan. 8, but she declined to go into detail because the case is tied to other, non-criminal issues.

She confirmed an individual was arrested but says the incident posed no risk to the public and reiterated Westwold residents can rest at ease.
