Police release information on double shooting in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS -  Police are calling the Brock shooting that injured two people a targeted attack.

Two people, a man and a woman, were rushed to hospital after shots were fired around 4 p.m. yesterday, Feb. 15, a media release says.

Kamloops RCMP arrived to the scene in the 1900 block of Tranquille Road.

When they found the man and woman had been shot, they secured the area as the victims were transported to hospital.

Police say their information leads them to believe this was not a random incident.

“Currently we have numerous police resources, both uniform and plain clothes officers investigating this incident. We are asking the public to remain vigilant and mindful of any suspicious activity they may see in the community and report it to police,” Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in the release.

Police are still gathering evidence and say they will not release further information at this time.
