October 15, 2020 - 1:10 PM

The Kelowna RCMP have released additional details as they continue to search for a suspect and vehicle after a boy was grabbed and pulled towards a truck on his walk home from school in September.

The 11-year-old was walking home from school and as he entered the intersection at Monterey Road and Springfield Road in Kelowna, a black four-door pickup pulled up alongside him and the rear passenger grabbed his backpack, according to the RCMP in a press release. The incident took place Sept. 17.

The boy managed to struggle free and ran home.
