VERNON - Police are investigating the death of a man found this morning outside the Vernon Library.

RCMP spokesperson Const. Kelly Brett says police and B.C. Ambulance responded to a report of an unresponsive man found lying outside the back of the library, located at 2800 30 Ave., Tuesday morning, June 12.

“Police located a male who was unresponsive and pronounced deceased at the scene,” Brett says.

The man’s identity is not known at this time, Brett says, and the RCMP will continue to support the B.C. Coroners Service in their investigation.

The death is not considered suspicious.
