Police charge Logan Lake man with second degree murder

LOGAN LAKE - One man is dead and another is in custody after an incident at a local motel.

RCMP say they got a complaint call to the motel early Tuesday morning at 6:40 where they found a 55-year-old man unresponsive and unable to be revived.

“The RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit are investigating the incident and have confirmed that Gordon Fleming, 66 years old, of Logan Lake, B.C. was arrested at the motel and is now charged with second degree murder,” Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in the release.

He said police believe the accused and deceased knew each other. Fleming is expected to appear in Kamloops provincial court today.
