Police catch suspected Kelowna thief with handguns, 20K in audio equipment

Audio equipment and two handguns seized by Kelowna RCMP.

A 45-year-old Kelowna man was arrested on Nov. 18 when police searched his residence in the 1300 block of Gordon Drive, according to an RCMP press release issued today, Nov. 29.

The raid was conducted after Kelowna RCMP investigated the theft of $20,000 worth of audio equipment from a construction site on Nov. 5.

While searching the man’s home they found the weapons and other stolen audio equipment.

There was already an arrest warrant out for the man who had been prohibited from possessing firearms and had his driver’s licence suspended.

He may also be charged with possession of stolen property and trafficking in stolen property.
