KELOWNA - A Kelowna man is facing more charges in connection to a drug investigation earlier this year.

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C. says in a news release that George Don Zacharias, 46, is facing 10 charges in relation to a July investigation.

On July 11, the provincial gang unit targeted Zacharias in a drug investigation and seized two kilograms of cocaine from his vehicle.

The next day, officers executed a search warrant at his home where they seized nine firearms.

Now Zacharias is facing several other charges in connection to the investigation.

In a news release today, Dec. 19, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit says the charges include possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm without a licence, six counts of possession of a prohibited, restricted or non-restricted firearm without a licence, possession of prohibited ammunition, overcapacity magazines, without a valid licence, and improper storage of firearms.
